Amelia is the Director of Communications at the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), a prominent African policy organisation, and a member of the ISS’ Executive Committee. With a tenure at ISS since 2007, Amelia’s experience is marked by a transition from Senior Researcher in the Transnational Threats and International Crime Programme, where she specialised in WMD non-proliferation and disarmament.

Possessing a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, Amelia combines her academic background with practical expertise. Her current role involves steering communication strategies at ISS, showcasing a dedication to effective communication within the realm of African policy.
