Andrew’s policy work focuses on European foreign and development policy, peace and security and Africa-Europe relations. Prior to joining ECDPM in 2008, Andrew worked as an independent consultant to various European government agencies, NGOs and think tanks. He also worked at International Alert for five years, was an adjunct professor at the American University School of International Service in Washington DC, and was a senior adviser to Williamsworks LLC (a strategic advocacy company). Andrew has also been a regular adviser, team leader and consultant to the European institutions and EU member states.
Andrew holds a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Limerick and a Bachelor’s degree (honours) in International Relations from Staffordshire University. He is a visiting scholar at the University of Calgary.
