Fellow, Nepal Policy Institute (NPI)
Dinesh Thapa is a Fellow at the Nepal Policy Institute (NPI), leading the Empowering Nepali Youth for Better Policies (ENYBP) program. He drives impactful initiatives like the Young Researcher Awards (YRA) and fosters dynamic youth engagement in policy dialogues. Dinesh holds an M.Sc. in Development Economics from the Center for Study and Research in International Development (CERDI), France.
Before NPI, he worked with the Global Development Network (GDN) in France, advancing strategic partnerships and research capacity-building across developing nations. He has consulted for the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and worked on sustainable mobility with the United Nations Special Envoy’s office at the FIA in Paris. He also collaborated with UNDP Nepal and grassroots NGOs on sustainability projects.
A co-founder of youth NGOs, Dinesh has organized youth talk shows and youth parliaments with development actors. He is passionate about public policy, development economics, and youth empowerment. He is based in France.
