Executive Director (ad interim), Open Society–Europe and Central Asia
Goran serves as the Executive Director (ad interim) of Open Society–Europe and Central Asia.With expertise in democratic transition, civil society, citizen participation, and effective government, Buldioski focuses on Europe, particularly Central and Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans. His professional background includes roles at the Council of Europe, the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation, and the National Youth Council of Macedonia.
Goran has contributed articles on democracy, think tanks, and policy-related matters to publications such as Politico Europe, Foreign Policy, ZEIT Online, openDemocracy, Mediapart, and the Independent. He is also a member of the European Council of Foreign Relations. Holder of MA degrees in public policy from Central European University and in organizational behavior from George Washington University, Buldioski brings a wealth of knowledge to his role.
