Joel is a current student enrolled in the International Masters in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies (IMSISS). This programme spans three universities in the UK, Italy, and the Czech Republic. As part of his academic journey, Joel has served as a writer for the Security Distillery, a student-led think tank.

His articles for the Security Distillery focus on the political developments of South Asia and the Middle East, from an international security perspective. Joel’s academic interests also extend to arms control and disarmament, and he recently had the opportunity to share his expertise at a conference in Amman.
