Head Coordinator of the Atlantic Dialogues, Policy Center for the New South
Lilia Rizk is currently the Head Coordinator of the Atlantic Dialogues conference, overseeing the organization of the Policy Center for the New South’s flagship conference. She was previously Head of the Major Convenings, Events, and the ADEL Program Department at the Policy Center for the New South, a role she led from March 2023 to September 2024.
Lilia joined the Policy Center for the New South in 2015, and up until 2019, she served as a program officer managing international partnerships and programs with think tanks and international organizations based in Africa, Europe, the UK, and the United States. In 2017, she was appointed head of the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders program, where she developed an alumni engagement program and platform. In 2019 she evolved as Manager of the then newly created ADEL Department at the PCNS, a role she held until her most recent promotion as head of department in 2023.
Beyond the scope of her work at the PCNS, Lilia is greatly interested in leadership, self-development, youth empowerment, sustainability and environmental protection, gender equality and equity, narratives, climate and social justice, and health and well-being.
Lilia obtained a dual degree in Political Science and International Development from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane.
