Mohamed is the Director and Founder of ISIR Think Tank, an independent think tank that promotes policy-relevant research. He is also an experienced policy researcher-practitioner working on peacebuilding and conflict prevention. His current research focuses on the horn of Africa, particularly on cross-border security, trade cooperation, risk assessment, natural resource management, and conflict-sensitive development.
Mohamed holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies and recently completed his second Master’s degree in Peace and Development from the United Nations Peace University.
