
Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Manager, African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP)
Ntaliwa Joyce Mbiti-Luo has 15 years of experience driving growth in non-profit and private sector organisations through innovative strategic and operational planning and implementation. She has successfully led the coordination of equity, programme and organisational support investments in for-profit and non-profit sectors in Africa. Ntaliwa is knowledgeable in developing and implementing strategies, research, developing systems and processes to enhance performance and continuous learning, conceptualising projects and coordinating proposal development, cultivating and nurturing strategic partnerships, developing proposals, monitoring, evaluation and learning, data analysis, knowledge management and communications. Ntaliwa is a Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Manager at the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), a research and policy institute with a mandate to help bridge the gaps between research, policy and practice in African development efforts. In her role, she leads the implementation of the Institute’s partnerships and resource mobilisation portfolio strategy. She was previously AFIDEP’s inaugural Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Officer and Executive Assistant. Before joining AFIDEP in 2014, Ntaliwa provided high-level strategic, operations and programmatic support to chief executive officers and directors at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital/Gender Violence Recovery Centre, the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and Tarakibu Architects. Ntaliwa is passionate about people, partnerships, processes, justice and equality. Outside work, she enjoys reading fiction, taking long walks, and watching period drama and design and crafts shows.
