Column Head of the Think Tank - Student Network for Open Science (NOS)
I’m currently working on my PhD in chemistry at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and attend the School of Thinktankers on behalf of the Student Network for Opern Science (NOS) – a student-led think tank aiming to improve the scientific landscape from a student perspective.
To me, the intersection of science and policy is incredibly interesting, and I think it needs more young, motivated researchers who are passionate about generating knowledge on current policy issues and translating their findings into policy advice and language the general public can understand. Working with NOS allows me to combine my insights that I gather during my studies and the experience I collect in my political work to have a positive impact on the scientific landscape of tomorrow, and I would like to use the learnings from the School of Thinktankers to future-proof our organisation, help with the continuous professionalisation, and improve our impact.
