Sijuola is a research economist and policy analyst passionate about public policy, development policy and macroeconomic issues in both advanced and developing countries. He is particularly concerned about how evidence-based policy evaluation and analysis can be applied to inform better policymaking at both the national and international levels. He began as an independent researcher, conducting research on issues around political economy, development economics and public economics. In recent times, Sijuola served in economic research and consultancy positions, conducting research for Economist in various institutions and consulting for a world-class management consultancy and international development firm that provides rigorous analysis and policy advice to national and state governments, and international development agencies. Sijuola currently serves as Team Lead, Policy Commission Management and Support at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Nigeria’s leading think tank. Sijuola holds a BSc and a Postgraduate Diploma Degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He also holds a MicroMasters in Data, Economics and Development Policy (DEDP) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
