
Deputy Editor-in-Chief, STEAR / University of Cambridge
Sofia is Deputy Editor-in-Chief at the Student Think Tank for Europe-Asia Relations (STEAR), where she co-leads the Editorial team to produce impactful analysis and policy publications, including the 2025 Journal publication.
With an MPhil in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (Korean focus) from the University of Cambridge and an International Relations BA from King’s College London, Sofia focuses on the interplays between domestic politics, international relations, and social psychology.
Her background in research and publishing includes a joint publication in the Taiwan Human Rights Journal, proposing legal, financial, and cybersecurity recommendations for the UK’s Hong Kong immigration policy; further, as a Fellow at the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Education & Research Center (NEREC), she co-authored a policy report on denuclearisation strategies for the DPRK.
Currently, she is training in geopolitical risk analysis at the Cambridge Centre for Geopolitics, exploring emerging and future global threats and striving to bridge academic insight with real-world impact.
