Victoria Fanggidae
Deputy Director - PRAKARSA

Victoria is a social policy researcher with more than two decades of experience working in the social development sector in Indonesia. She is a qualitative researcher by training, with a doctoral degree in social policy, sociology and social theory from the University of Melbourne. She is currently Deputy Director of PRAKARSA, a Jakarta-based think tank working on social policy, fiscal policy and sustainable development issues. Her main responsibilities include oversight and supervision of PRAKARSA’s research and advocacy on poverty and inequality, health, employment, housing (social policy), tax, trade and value chain (economic and fiscal policy), ESG and sustainable finance (sustainable development policy). She is also responsible for organisational strategic planning and development, research development, management, as well as fundraising and networking. Prior to PRAKARSA, she worked with various United Nations organisations and international NGOs in rural and urban Indonesia, from humanitarian to development and policy advocacy settings.
